Editorial policy
How we report, how we source, how we correct, and where the boundaries sit between editorial and commercial. This page applies to every article on this site.
Mission and scope
+Plastic Electronics reports on organic, printed, flexible and stretchable electronics — technology, markets, manufacturing and the research pipeline. Our audience is professional: engineers, researchers, product strategists, investors and policy readers. We write for readers who need to make decisions, not for search engines.
Sourcing standards
- Analysis articles name their evidentiary basis — public research, company disclosures, reported market data or documented industry consensus — either in the text or in a sources list.
- We distinguish clearly between reported facts, estimates and our own interpretation. Market figures are attributed to the research house that produced them.
- We do not republish press releases as news. Where a company announcement is newsworthy, we report it with independent context and attribution.
- Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly, only where information is genuinely sensitive, and every anonymous claim is corroborated or clearly framed as a single source.
Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected promptly, transparently and in place. When we correct a substantive error, the article carries a note describing what changed and when. Minor typographical fixes are made silently. If you believe something we published is wrong, write to corrections@plusplasticelectronics.com; the desk treats a correction request as seriously as a news tip.
Advertising and sponsored content
Advertising, where accepted, is visually and structurally separated from editorial content. Sponsored content is explicitly labelled as sponsored at the point of display and in the page metadata. Commercial relationships never determine editorial coverage, tone or conclusions. Companies we cover commercially receive no preview of editorial content and no right of reply prior to publication of critical coverage beyond standard fact-checking.
Independence
+Plastic Electronics is an independent publication. Our editorial judgements answer to readers alone. Where individual writers hold financial interests relevant to a covered company or technology, they are disclosed in the article.
